Currently we have 2 OpenSSI clusters in the Computer Science Department
wolf359 and Oort.

Wolf359 is a pilot and consists of 37 Intel Pentium II and III machines
that existed in a "previous life" as lab machines for students on campus.

Oort is a 6 node cluster that was built using new equipment
   - Dual Xeon CPU's (3.6 GHz)
   - 6 Gb RAM
   - Dual 1 GB ethernetcards
   - Silver bezels with blue lights !!!

The Oort cluster has 36 Gb memory and 12 Xeon (3.6 GHz processors)
and is networked with an OpenAFS server with 1.5Tb of filespace and is
also networked with a backup server with 1Tb diskspace.

Click here for the Website running on wolf359.

I am in the process of writing some software that can make use of the
parallel architecture of the OpenSSI clusters we have at the
  Computer Science Department.

Some programs I wrote for experimenting
with the cluster can be dowloaded from here.
(The code isn't all that pretty but when I find the time I might clean it up)

  download clusterhello here.
  download clusterfibo here.
  download clustermandel here.           (disk-io)
  download clusternetmandel here.       (tcp/ip)
  download clustershmemmandel here. (shared memory)

download ssi-afs-utl here. (klog and unlog for OpenAFS authentication on OpenSSI)
