I came to DePauw wanting to minor in computer science. I figured that with technology growing as much as it is, knowing a little about computers would help make me more marketable come graduation. I took my first CS class my sophmore year with Dr. Thede. I admit, CS was nothing like I thought it would be. I thought it would be more about how computers work than programming. As the semester went on, I found that I loved the problem solving aspect of computer science, and I was exicted at all the career possibilities it offered. I also loved how friendly and helpful all the members of the CS department are. It wasn't long before I decided to add CS as a second major, and it was one of the best decisions of my life. In the past three years I have met so many wonderful people and made so many great networking connections that now that it's time to find a job, I am overwhelmed with options.
