Advanced Placement Credits   


Advanced placement is available for students in Computer Science.


To place into CSC 122 (second semester), you must be familiar with most of the following concepts:
  • Classes and Objects
  • Variables and Data Types
  • Loops, including Nested Loops
  • One and Two Dimensional Arrays
To place into CSC 222 (third semester), you must be familiar with most of the following concepts:
  • Searching and Sorting Algorithms
  • Recursion
  • Binary Search Trees
Although the first two courses at DePauw are taught in Java, knowledge of Java is not a prerequisite for advanced placement credit.
